Ford Ranger & Everest StealthBar MY22+ :

Aesthetic Evolution & Platform Architecture

The latest-generation StealthBar, designed to protect the Ford Ranger and Ford Everest, offers a range of design and fitment improvements. Developed in close consultation with Ford Australia engineers, it features updated bracketry that allows for quicker, easier installation to the vehicle. A key enhancement of this model is the integration of the frontal safety system radar within the bar itself, resulting in a sleeker, more refined appearance while maintaining full system functionality.

Aesthetic Leadership & Legacy Knowledge

  • Surface Continuity & Visual Quality:
Starting from quick proportion studies and rough render themes, I refined the design through multiple CAD iterations to achieve clean Class-A surface continuity and visual balance. A strong focus was placed on highlighting flow, edge control, and the transition between technical and organic surfaces to ensure the final form felt integrated with the vehicle rather than added onto it. The development process progressed from loose wireframe structures to fully resolved production surfaces, maintaining both manufacturability and premium visual quality throughout.

  • Engineering Efficiency:
To streamline development and reduce unnecessary engineering changes, I strategically carried over key bracket architecture and mounting logic from my previous Tremor program experience. This approach allowed the team to retain proven structural solutions while shifting focus toward refining the new visual identity and user-facing design elements. By building on existing engineering foundations, the project achieved improved development efficiency without compromising the overall design outcome.

  • Human-Centred Design:
The number plate hinge brackets were designed to work with winch fairleads, also spotlight and antenna mount systems were designed as integrated user-focused features rather than standalone accessories. Careful consideration was given to usability, practicality of installation, and long-term visual integration with the vehicle architecture. The intention was to maintain a clean, cohesive design language while seamlessly incorporating additional functionality for off-road users. This ensured the accessories complemented the vehicle’s overall form and visual flow rather than disrupting it.

Designed to accommodate a range of aftermarket safety and 4X4 accessories, the StealthBar is compatible with all Ford Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The StealthBar is a streamlined platform, perfect for mounting your 4×4 accessories and offering a tough, lightweight solution for protecting your vehicle.
